Please help us celebrate the state of Ohio's 200th Birthday. A calling for all those who travel the back roads of Jefferson Co., OH while hunting their Ohio Valley ancestors! The Ohio Bicentennial Steubenville (OH) Committee is in need of a BARN located in Jefferson County, Ohio for the purpose of painting on it's side the "Bicentennial Logo". No barns (that we know of) are located on RT. 22/30, but there may be some on RT. 43, 152, or 213. Requirements for the barn are: 1. Must be made of wood and in good condition! 2. Painted Red or White (exceptions will be made) 3. Easily seen from a State Route in Jefferson Co., OH There is a deadline of Aug./Sept. for the "find" - as painting the logo would be scheduled for 2002 so it will be ready for the 2003 Ohio Bicentennial Celebration.
