Carole, That's a really interesting list of alumni. What struck me was the number who had gone out west. Does anyone know if the migration to California and other western states was random or were there particular times when it occurred? I've been trying to find David Carlyle who may have gone to California from Toronto, OH and who appears to have left before 1880. (An article on his son states that David died in 1879 but I haven't found a record of it, and a descendant of his family told me that they believe he went west.) Karen ---------------------- > Mt.
