But I did a search for Smithfield and I did find a link which lists a church! see below http://www.churchangel.com/WEBOH/smithfield.htm and I found this! William Sharon (1821-1885) Born in Smithfield, Ohio, January 9, 1821. U.S. Senator from Nevada, 1875-81. Died in San Francisco, Calif., November 13, 1885. Original interment at Laurel Hill Cemetery (which no longer exists), San Francisco, Calif.; reinterment at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
