This message is directed at the members of this site which would be interested in the DNA research study that is going to be conducted right here in the tri-state area. May 12th 2001 10:00a.m.- researchers from BYU will arrive here at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located Powells Lane Wintersville, OH.The researchers will be collecting four generation pedigree charts and bloods samples to take back to BYU to create a world wide DNA family tree.This event is free and open to the public but all must pre register! April 24th 2001 6:30-9:00p.m. there will be an Open House at the same location as the event on Powell's lane in Wintersville OH. There will be a presentation concerning what we hope to learn from participating in this research study, info about clans, tribes and surname immigration and migration. At the end of the presentation will be a Q & A and this is all "free" to the public. We will have necessary forms such as, pedigree charts, consent forms and other research materials also free. We will have 3 librarians available to answer questions and displays on scrapbooking, archiving old photo's, preserving memories, how to's on creating a written family history etc. We will have tours of the library and explain what we have available for research.
