I recently learned Benjamin Clifton's mother was Luisa (also seen as Lovy/Lory). They were from DE. Luisa married Arthur Van Kirk 1819. He died by 1830. They had one son Arthur Jr., she died by 1842. I also found an 1848 marriage for Benjamin to Ann Curfman. He was widowed earlier that year when wife Lydia Seaton died, probably giving birth to youngest son David. Sons William Allen and David were raised by Solomon Risdon and his wife Elizabeth. Believe Benjamin's middle name was Franklin. I can't find him in 1850. I would like to hear from anyone with Van Kirk or Curfman. Thinking Ann may have been a widow considering Benjamin's age. Appreciate any info. Faith [email protected]
