Hello Jefferson Co. OH Thompson Researchers, I noticed in the History Center in Steubenville, that there was a David and James Thompson, brothers with a father, Joseph in Ireland. Also a second James Thompson there as well. There is also a Josiah Thompson in the census for Jefferson Co. OH. in 1850, having moved there from PA. If you are searching, this might be an Irish connection for you. It does not seem to connect to my John W. Thompson line living in Jefferson Co. OH in 1805 to 1850. If you are either of these other lines, I hope this helps you.
