does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get a metes & bounds description from a deed dated 1805.? How can I find out just where this is in modern day Jefferson County Ohio? Help? Shirley

The description of the land should be on the deed. In 1805 there is a good chance it is an original purchase...is it? The auditor of Ohio has a book about Ohio Lands...which describe the different surveys. I'll get the address for you to send for one if you'd like.
