Hello everyone. I'm researching my wifes' family name of HECKARD and have traced them back to Jefferson County, OH. I'm stuck on items: Newspaper articles and Wills said our relative Nicholas Heckard(ert) owned 100 acres lying in section 20, township 8, range 2nd in the Steubenville district. I don't have the resources at hand to find exactly where this is. The on-line map sites aren't much help so I thought someone on this list might have a section map that identifies the location. My research also says its in Knox township (which I guess is township 8 above). Is there a township or section map on-line that would help out-of-staters like myself find this information.
