This is comparatively modern history, genealogically speaking, so you should be able to find contemporary info on the family. Have you checked with the Historical society in Steubenville, to see what newspapers they may have on film, that would contain his obituary? Obituaries are often full of great information.......many of the local newspapers are also on film in Columbus at the Historical Center, and available through interlibrary loan.
