Does anyone have information concerning a Bethel school or childrens home in or around Dillonvale in Jefferson Co.? I have a picture post-card showing a large house and barn and 2 or 3 other buildings. The area behind these buildings is fenced in and there is a play area with swings, sliding board and see-saws. There are children playing and what appears to be teachers or other adults as supervisors. The postcard has a Dillonvale, OH postmark and is dated Dec. 23, 1914. It is addressed to James Frances of Dillonvale from Samuel Purviance. The message on the back reads: "We are to have our school entertainment Thursday afternoon the 24th at 2:30 pm. Glad to have you come to Bethel at that time." Can anyone help? [email protected]
