My 4th great-grandfather was William Roe. I have been told he was killed at Rush Run, when the Steamboat, The Virginia, exploded. I was told that it happened in 1838, but I found an article that I am sure is about the same incident, that states it happened in 1849. Plus, he had children that were born after 1838. LindaB
