I am new to this list and I hope someone will be able to help. My Grandmother had her funeral service in Amsterdam, Ohio. It was at the Sweeney Funeral Home, the clergyman was Rev. M. Leroy Antram. Date of death was February 22, 1951. I have tried to find the funeral home listing but can't seem to be abe to locate it, so maybe they have gone out of business or changed names. I would really like to know where their records are so I can find out who arranged the funeral services. My Grandparents had lived in Jewett, Oh and during their last years lived in Germano, Oh. Since I lived with them almost all of my childhood (due to illness) I don't think they ever lived in Amsterdam. What I am hoping for is close family members lived there and arranged everything. This is the information: Grandmothers name: Anna May BIBEY, maiden name - husband given name - Alfred - PHILLIPS. Father - Elijah Phillips - Mother - maiden name - Anna Eliza DOULING If anyone has any information or knows someone with the surname PHILLIPS (because my Great Grandfather family was from Ohio) or BIBEY - DOULING - I would really appreciate hearing from you. It is so strange because my Grandmother died in a hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia, funeral service were conducted in Amsterdam and she was buried in Chartiers Cem,Carnegie, Pa. I just don't understand it all and the only conclusion I arrive at is FAMILY. Since I haven't been able to gather much information I am keeping my fingers crossed someone will recognize one of the names. Thank you, Alice California
