There is a James listed as one of the first land owners. No other data on James. Casparius was involved with the property of the Friends Church in Smithfield. COWGILL/COGIL/CHOGUILL,.................. Harriet b/1804 VA d/o (Elisha and Sarah Miller? Elisha b/?Chester Co., PA) Harriet m/Benjamin HOOPER b/1800 VA s/o Barton & Catherine ____________. Barton was in Mt. Pleasant in 1820 census. d/about 1827. Catherine was in the 1830 census of Mt. Pleasant and then migrated to Morgan Co., Ohio with h er children. DeYARMON................................ David was b/1803 Philadelphia, PA migrated as a young child with family to Smithfield, Dillonvale, Mt. Pleasant area. M/Sarah PAXSON b/1810 in VA. PAXSON................................. Possible brother of Sarah is James H. b/1807 in Loudoun Co., VA. m/______with son George W, b.1841 Ohio. m/Nancy ROUSE 1846 with Elizabeth b/1847. There is a Sarah Paxson as head of household in the 1820 Mt. Pleasant census. Is this the mother of my Sarah and James H.??? There is also an Amos Paxson that traveled with the above David DeYarmon to Iowa. David returned to Jeff Co., Oh. Amos remained and m/in Iowa. David's sister, Sarah, m/in Mt Pleasant. She, first husband, and family, in several moves, migrated toward Iowa. After the spouses of Amos and Sarah died they were married. There is also a Thomas PAXSON b/1801-1812 b/Loudoun Co., VA. HAYNES.......................... William B. b/Dec 1799 in (Waddesdon, Buckingham) England came to Smithfield, Jefferson Co., Ohio as a widower with a son and daughter. (I think his wife was Marie CANNON. George b/1829 in England, naturalized 1834 m/Mary Jane DeYARMON d/o above David and Sarah Paxson. Sabina b/1827 in England m/David R. Bisbain/Bisben William B. m/#2 1836/8 Elizabeth ALLEN. Elizabeth was several years older b/MD. HOOPER......................... Barton m/Catherine (possible stepdaughter of Andrew WOLF/WOLFE & second wife, Catherine of PA.) After the death of Barton, Catherine lived in the Morgan & Athens Cos of Ohio.
