    1. [OHJEFFER] WALKER/JOHNSON/ARTHUR in Mt. Pleasant
    2. Ward Walker
    3. Hello, I just joined the list. I am researching the family of Joseph T. WALKER, b. about 1842 in Ohio, d. 1919 in Mt. Pleasant. His wife was Maggie (JOHNSON) Walker, b. in Ohio. A daughter, Elizabeth, married someone with the surname ARTHUR. (My grandfather was a son, George A. Walker, b. 1874.) The 1880 census shows 5 Walker families in Mt. Pleasant township, all with connections to PA. I don't know what the population was, but does this not sound fairly likely that at least some of the other 4 families are related to mine somehow? Another question. The history of Jefferson County, on the web page for this list, says that Quakers settled in Mt. Pleasant. Are there any particular surnames associated with the Quakers in this area? Thanks. Ward Walker
