They were married 10 Jan 1940 in East Liverpool, Ohio. they were divorced sometime between 1944 and 1946 in East Liverpool, Ohio He has/had a brother JOHN McCAIN who married PRISCILLA ? and they had a daughter named GWEN. No information on his parents. He also had a sister named KATHERINE McCAIN and a step brother named JACK, but no one knows if his last name was McCain or something else. CLYDE GRAFTON SCOVEL, my step grandfather, b.4 May 1916 in Toronto, Ohio. d. 25 Aug 1996 in Thomasville, GA. His parents were CLYDE ELDER SCOVEL b. 1890 Linesville, PA. d.17 Mar 1973 in Toronto, Ohio. He was a plumber in Toronto, Ohio, and (Catherine) KATIE SHAMP b. 1896 Toronto, Ohio. d. 1957 in Toronto, Ohio. According to his birth certificate it looks like there was another child born before him but died. Clyde G. and Janice married 1 Feb 1948 in East Liverpool, Ohio. In Clyde Elder's obit there are two sisters listed Mrs.GERALD(JEAN) LEASURE of Toronto,Ohio and Mrs.WILLIAM(CATHERINE) McCLEAN of Lake Milton. In Clyde Grafton's obit it list the sisters as: JEAN HOWE of Toronto, Ohio and CATHERINE McCLEAN of Saegertown, PA. Janice's Parents (my greatgrandparents): WILLIAM HARRISON FRANTZ b. 11 Dec 1896 in Garfield, PA. (my grandmother tried to tell me he was born in Bluefield, VA but on her birth certificate it list PA and on a Census Gladys listed him as being born in PA) d. ? last known address for him was the VA hospital in Sandusky,Ohio in 1944. He fought in WWI in France. GLADYS MYRLE GOLDEN b.9 Sep 1898 East Liverpool, Ohio d. 6 Apr 1977 in Bethany, Kentucky. Their address when Janice was born was Tyler Ave., Canton, Ohio. They also had a son HARVEY KENNETH FRANTZ b. 10 Nov 1923 in East Liverpool, Ohio d. 28 May 1999 in Warren, Ohio married BERTHA R. ZAWISTOSKI 26 Feb 1929. b. ? d. ? She is no longer living. It is late and I am too tired to look up anything at the moment, but I am primarily looking for information on the Ashby family, mostly from the Rush Run area (latter moved to Youngstown, where I was born and raised). Any information would be appreciated. I have traced it back to Samuel Ashby, born about 1820. I know that my great grandfather, one of Samuel's sons, was James Ashby and was born in Rush Run. I have hit a temporary dead end with Samuel as I can not yet find where he was born.
