Brian - See that you are looking at Maxwells. Do you happen to recognize the name Isabelle Maxwell. She married one of my relatives, an Andrew Carman, in late 1830's, I believe. I don't yet know what happened to Andrew, but I later find Isabelle living with Maxwell relatives up through the 1870 Census. Ring any bells from your research? Any help appreciated? Ha! I claim to have found the first Klingon in Wayne Twp., Jefferson County. I was checking the 1900 census for Edward H. Maxwell and there he was. A boy, Ed was passing off as his son, who's name was Woorf. I bet he stood out at that one room schoolhouse. Okay, enough of hoopla. Could some other eyes take a look at this boy's name and tell me what you think it is. The father's name is Edward Maxwell. The enumeration district is 86, sheet number 5A, stamped 208, handwritten 2468, Line 31 (for Ed) Dwelling 97, Family 98. Thank you for your help. Brian L.
