I am trying to find information on John B. Adams who was listed in the 1830 and 1840 census records as being in Richmond, Jefferson Co. He had three sons that I know of; James, Joseph and Charles W. James and Joseph served in the Civil War from Iowa. All three sons were in NE in 1870. Charles W. was born in Richmond in 1848. Can anyone tell me what happened to this family between 1848 and 1870.
