Lived in Ross Twp. with Jeremiah Roach, pensioned Jeff Co, 1819, GNL. "Potts, Jonathan; his family history and war record are to be found in a book presented to Mrs. Sinclair by the author. I placed it in Carnegie Library - on the DAR book shelf. I have not seen it for many years, but I seem to recall that the title was The Simpson Family and it's Branches - and I think her name was Miss Simpson. Johathan Potts was a large powerful man ad even in his last years deligthed in feats of strength when the farmers gathered round the fire in the little town of Fairview. Where his body was being prepared for burial it is said to have been covered with saber wound scars from his gallant career in the Rev. War. Born 1754, died 1831. His remains were removed by the DAR from neglected private grave yard near Fairview to Union Cemetery. G.M." Children of JONATHAN POTTS and ELIZABETH ENGLISH are: i. JOSHUA3 POTTS, b.
