I am searching for descendents of Thomas Morris and Mary Crab Bell Morris that were in the counties of Jefferson, Ohio (1850 Census), Davis (Iowa 1880) and Van Buren(1860) , Iowa. -Thomas was born in Ohio in 1815 -Mary Crab was born in Jefferson County, Ohio in 1820 -The family was listed in the 1850 Jefferson County census with: -Thomas Morris age35 -Mary Morris age30 - Samatha Morris age14 - Sarah J Bell age11 -Daniel S. Bell age7 -The family was listed in the 1860 Van Buren County census with: -Wife Mary Crab Bell Morris, age 40 -son Daniel S. Bell, age 17 -son Albert, age 10 -daughter Harriet, age 7 -daughter Virginia, age 5 -daughter Mary, age 3 - son, David Burr not yet born -daughter Sarah J. Bell, age19, was listed as domestic in Union Township, Post Office Troy - daughter Samatha Morris, age 21, where-abouts are unknown, she is probably married by this time. -Sarah J. Bell married Dr. William Rosser a few years later -Sarah and Daniel Bell remained in the same area of Iowa The Thomas Morris household was in Hickory County, MO for the 1870 census. and in Davis county Iowa (same post office as 1860Van Buren) in 1880. -Harriet remained in MO and married Yeager, son of Eliajh Fisher Yeager. -Albert also remained in MO and married Martha McDowell, daughter of Andrew T. McDowell and Mary Coleman Other related MO families,:- Jedediah and Aaron Darby, -Reser, -Fisher, -Thomas Franklin Yeager -Garr -Albert Morris ended up just over the Hickory County line in Urban, Dallas Co, MO. I have all of the Yeager family information, and M Y B R I C K W A L L is my Morris line back from Thomas Morris, born 1815 someplace in Ohio. Thomas a widower married Mary Crab Bell Morris in Jefferson CO, Ohio in 1849. Mary was a widow of Daniel S. Bell, and had two surviving children from her marriage to Daniel Bell, Daniel S. Bell, Jr. and Sarah J. Thomas had a surviving daughter named Samantha from his first marriage. He may have been married to a Seleany Longfellow in Morgan CO, Ohio prior to 1840.
