Hi Janice, I just read about Saline Township on your site. I can't believe it-I grew up in Stratton, which is below Port Homer. My dad's family ran a post office and store in Port Homer long ago-the Crawford family. My Crawford ancestor-James-came from western Pa. in the early 1800's with his wife and settled in Jefferson County. It was neat to see the description of Yellow Creek, as my dad owned a small cottage on a tributary of that creek. I look forward to reading more!!
