    3. You can get a township map for, I think, $1.50 , at the courthouse in Steubenville. I picked mine up, but I'm sure they'd mail it to you with the correct postage and map cost. ---------- > From: Roberta L. 3. Hi Kay, Another book, history of Ohio R. is "That Dark and Bloody River" Eckert. It is unbelievable what those early settlers went through during the 1700's. I think this time in history should be studied more thoroughly in schools, so people apprecate what suffering brought us this wonderful country and life we have now. This book is avail through interlibrary loan. 1. Jessie Davidson's Will
    2. Kay Davidson
    3. We just received the last Will and Testament of Jessie Davidson in which she names several family members: Grace LINN of Canton, OH, Edith COOPER of Toronto, OH, Hattie GRAHAM, Ron HALES, Grace Linn's husband Ron, Thelma DAVIDSON NELSON, Mandane DAVIDSON, Great Grandmother Mary DAVIDSON, Marian WOOD, Gladys HURT and her husband Roy Hurt, Ada JACKMAN, R?? JACKMAN, Wilma KOEHLER, Ethel DAVIDSON, Dorothy DAVIDSON WECKESSER, Sadie DAVIDSON, Margaret and Mary MACKEY of Steubenville, Dorothy HOLYDEN (writing is not clear on spelling of name), Elizabeth (writing not clear, could be Schook, Schenk... the "Sch" is quite clear), Florence daughter of Nellie Stanley of Wooster, OH, Clara Grace. I am entering the specifics for the next name because the item mentioned is also referred to in our Family History Poem: "Dean Davidson my grandfather clock which is always to remain in the Davidson family. Also to Dean Davidson the smaller mirror in mahogany frame that he gave to me." Gene, wife of Dean Davidson. The Will was dated 12/10/42. Knowing the dates of some of these individuals I can attest that the date would be interpreted as December 10, 1942. The witnesses for this Will were Ruby Goodenau, Mabel Van La?n, R.Z. Cope. I do not have the Will transcribed yet, but will do so in due time. If anyone has a Davidson connection to any of the above people, I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Anther item we received is a Probate Court record for Cora A. Davidson who lists her widower as George E. Davidson, 74 years old and children: Ethel M. Davidson of Canton, age 52 John W. Davidson of Canton, age 50 Harold M. Davidson of Steubenville, age 40 Harry R. Davidson of Canton, age 47 If anyone has a Davidson connection to these folks, I would love to hear from you. At this time I am not sure of the connection to our family, but the coincidence of the name of Ethel in both this document and the Will of Jessie Davidson makes me a bit curious. Thank you for your time, Kay Davidson
