I recently got this reply from the webmaster of the web site of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Eastern States, General Land Office (GLO) Records Automation web site. I was asking about a military land warrent issued to my ancestor in Florida. "We only have a limited number of military bounty warrants entered into our GLO patent database as of yet. Most of those in our system are for War of 1812 service and were issued for lands in Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois; we also have some warrants for Revolutionary War service that were issued in Ohio. Those two types of warrants were bound in volumes specific to those states; the vast majority of military bounty warrants were not - those records will be scanned and indexed into our system several years down the road." We have talked in the past but we never could make a connection. My g-g-g Grandmother was Mary Polly Kendall born Abt 1820 in supposedly Holmes County. Her mother's name was -again- supposedly Elizabeth Couts- I don't know what her fathers name was but he was born in Maryland. Her mother was born in Virginia. Mary also had a brother named Elias Kendall. Mary- I just found out today- married William Wise in 1837 in Jefferson County. My Wises moved from there to Carroll then to Tuscarawas County, Oh. I don't know where your Reason Kendall comes to play but We did hash some of this out before with out sucess., But before I had not yet discovered this Jefferson County Connection. These Kendalls or Wises also had some connection with a Dotts family.- some moving on to Iowa. I maintain a website at---http://web.tusco.net/wisenct/ Hope this refreshes your Memory Yes its me again! Re:Elizabeth Allen- anything's possible. I just received info on an Elizabeth Allen who was born around 1800. She was the daughter of Aaron and Mary Glenn Allen. Aaron was born around 1771 and was the son of Uriah and ???. There easily could've been another Elizabeth Allen. My interest is in Mary (Polly) Allen (1800-1885) who married George Johnston. If you know more about Elizabeth, let me know. Thanks. jan

My maternal great-grandfather's name was Emmanuel Icenhood. All that I know is that he married my g-grandmother whose last name was Patterson. He apparently was born in Buck's County, PA and was Pennsylvania Dutch. He also fought in the Civil War and had some time of injury during that service. He lived in Cadiz, Harrison County, OH and his grave is in Union Cemetery there. I can find no other "Icenhood's" anywhere. I've even looked for "Isenhood." Anyone knowing anything about anyone by that name would be appreciated. Thanks! Ed Durbin (Searching for: DURBIN, AINSCOUGH, THOMPSON and ICENHOOD.)
Do you have any info on Martha Leeper who married Felix Wise- 16/Feb/1837? Mitch Wise Pixie wrote: > any chance of getting a lookup on Leeper marriages? > > Thank you. > > Mary Szymanowski
In the Early Marriages for Jeffeson County, Ohio that goes to 1838 William Wise m. Polly Kendall, 13 Nov 1837 Some info I had before stated that Polly (Mary ) was born in Holmes County and her mother's name was Elizabeth Couts. I do not have her father's name. She did have a brother --Elias. There is also a possibility of a connection with a Dotts family. Early Holmes County records-- Will of Daniel Kendall 7/1836 Administrators-- Elizabeth Kendall & John Korn
