    3. Hi Jean, My wife, Cindy, recognizes a number of the "Jackman's" below as people who were related to her by marriage. Once she gets home, she will be happy to provide you with more information about those she knows of. For example, she is related to the "Crow" mentioned in the list. Best wishes. 1. about ordering LDS Vital Records Index CD's

Callers outside North America can call 1-801-240-1126. FAX orders may be set to 801-240-3685. You can specify a credit card number on any of these methods. Finally, you can send an order and a check by old-fashioned mail if you address the envelope to: Church Distribution Center Church Distribution Center 1999 West 1700 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84104-4233 U.S.A. When ordering, make sure that you specify "Item #50029, North American Vital Records Index (1620-188 ?? ( I deleted this last part) and this one: British Isles Vital Records Index on CD-ROM Now for the price: the British Isles Vital Records Index on CD-ROM costs exactly $15.00 U.S. funds. 1. Barkhursts
    2. 2/12/99 Hi Judi, We received the Barkhurst information from the descendant of Jemima Barkhurst and Andrew Ekey Jr. He has the information from Caldwell's and Doyle’s history books, but has not been able to tie it all together. He has an old family Bible and copied pages that give births of Jemima and her siblings. They were written on blank pages. The Bible is dated MDCCLXXI (1771) and after each name is written “was born in the year of our Lord and then the date.” Here are the names and dates: James Barkhurst 1806 Sep 7 he was the son of Joshua Barkhurst and Elizabeth his wife. Jacob Barkhurst 1807 Dec 24 William Barkhurst 1809 Feb 28 Mary Barkhurst 1810 Jul 24 Anna Barkhurst 1811 Nov 16 John Barkhurst 1813 Mar 31 Catharine Barkhurst 1814 Oct 16 Benjamin Barkhurst 1816 Jan 24 Elizabeth Barkhurst 1819 May 16 Joshua dicson Barkhurst 1822 Jan 27 Jemima Barkhurst 1824 Nov 26 On another page are these two entries: Charles Barkhurst was born in the year of our Lord 1776 June 8th he was a son of James Barkhurst and Mary his wife. Joshua Barkhurst was born in the year of our Lord 1774 September 25. He also has a transcription of Joshua’ Barkhurst’s will of 13 Aug 1837 in which he names daughters Elizabeth and Jemima and sons Jacob B, John, and Benjamin B. Another reference he has is for the Wm Barkhurst who came from Maryland. But he hasn’t made the connection yet with his line.. If you’d like to correspond with him let us know and we’ll give you his address. Doyle and Ruby DEkey68402@aol.com
