    3. Hi everyone, I was checking for 2 things. The first being that we lived in Adena, Ohio in the late 60's unitl October 1972. My mother and father were to return and pick up some items that we had left on a bus. Among the items were the family antiques & photos . These photo's contained some of the following names: MOORE-RUNNION-FIKE-JONES-BROWN CHILDREN'S NAME TO INCLUDE: LINDA, ROSE, BARBARA, DOROTHY, JUANITA, ETHEL, RICHARD, DENZIL, JAMES AND OTHERS. My problem is, when my parents returned to get the items, the man who bought the bus from them had already taken everything off it. I think they said he lived in Glenview or somewhat like that. I am not worried about the other stuff. This I am worried about: My mother is going to be 82 years old in the coming month, and talks constantly of these pictures she lost. She still has FAITH that they will be returned. I am asking those of you on the list if you know of any pictures in thrift shops, antique shops and such of the above names, can you contact me? I would love to be able to get the pictures and present them to mama for her birthday. Also, we attended the following schools: ADENA ELEMETARY AND MT. MEIGS. Would anyone have any yearbooks from around 1965 and up to 1972 and would do look ups to see if any of the children above are in them? Some of the teacher's I remember are Mrs. Duncan 5th. grade, Mr. Smallwood 4th. grade, Mrs. Selfick 1st grade. I would be willing to buy the yearbook or pay for copies of the pictures. This would also be a nice present for mama. If you have any questions you need answers to, email me and I'll be happy to reply. Thank you kindly and have a great week, Juanita (Moore) Gleason Adena Elementary School 1966-1972

    2. I want to apologize for passing this along. A few people seem to have able to access this and take advantage, but it seems that most of us (including myself) have not. This offer was through a MyFamily.Com Bargain Newsletter. I replied to the original email, I have emailed MyFamily.Com and I have emailed Ancestry.Com, explaining that we have not been able to access, and I have heard nothing back from any of them. Again I apologize and if I hear something back I will pass it along to you. Linda

    3. Does anyone have information concerning a Bethel school or childrens home in or around Dillonvale in Jefferson Co.? I have a picture post-card showing a large house and barn and 2 or 3 other buildings. The area behind these buildings is fenced in and there is a play area with swings, sliding board and see-saws. There are children playing and what appears to be teachers or other adults as supervisors. The postcard has a Dillonvale, OH postmark and is dated Dec. 23, 1914. It is addressed to James Frances of Dillonvale from Samuel Purviance. The message on the back reads: "We are to have our school entertainment Thursday afternoon the 24th at 2:30 pm. Glad to have you come to Bethel at that time." Can anyone help? [email protected]

    1. Mt. Pleasant Historical Outhouse coverage on WTOV TV
    2. Julia A. Krutilla
    3. Bet I have all of your attention. Those of you who live in our area may have seen Wednesday's WTOV coverage of the move of a 140 year old Historical Quaker Outhouse. It is located in Mt. Pleasant, Jefferson Co., OH. It has two entrances, two rooms, (1 each for males and females), 4 seater total, made of clay brick on site. The only one in all of Ohio. The owners needed to move this building and an Adena firm was hired for this successful event. Now for the question. Does anyone know the early Quaker family who built this home and outer buildings? I did not catch all of the coverage and wondered if they supplied the family name.

    3. Hi folks, Just wanted to give everyone that has my address as [email protected] in their address book a chance to change it to my new address at [email protected] My old ISP has sold out AGAIN so I am going with one that won't be selling out in the near future (at least I hope not!) and hopefully won't have as many problems with the new one either. I also want to apologize if you receive this message more than once, but that just means that we are on different mailing lists together so just hit the delete button to get rid of the duplicates. I have been unsubbing from lists under my usit.net address and subbing again with my new address so I don't miss any of your mail. You are a wonderful bunch of people...thanks for being you! :) I will wait until next week to cancel my usit account so you have a chance to make the change 'cause after I cancel that account, the usit.net mail will bounce higher than a rubber ball. LOL Until that time I can still retrieve mail from them. My next step is to try to contact individuals (Oh my, five years of contacts!). I wish you all well and hope that everyone is finding new leaves in their family trees. You can feel free to check out my website for any familiar names if you wish (The link is at the end of my signature line)...if you find one, give a yell!
