William Barton was a SgtMjr in the Revolutionary War and served for three years from Virginia. If you come across anything, I would deeply appreciate it. In Jackson County, James and Polly Hale had a daughter named Charlotte (died 1877) who married Thomas Barton. I can find nothing on these Barton/Hale people who are direct 4th & 5th great-grandparents. Thank you...thank you. Karen
