My wife and I attended the OGS Conference this past weekend. By now you should have most of the details from an earlier respondee. We would both highly recommend attending next year (we are!) because you learn so many great ideas regarding your approach to genealogy. We would say the conference is probably more for learning vs. connecting. Sessions run about an hour with a half hour gap in between the sessions to visit the vendor room (there were many on hand!) and to network with others. Several people came from AZ, CA and FL so that should give you some idea of the conference appeal. Attendees received .5 inch thick syllabus with ALL of the session outlines. Well done. BTW... Indiana has a conference in early April and Kentucky will have one the 2nd or 3rd weekend in September. I am guessing specific info can be found via Google.
