    3. Richard, I don't really know. I am looking for thier death certificate which would be 1887 and 1891. Possibly thier parents names would be on it. That is about our last hope of finding thier mothers name.     3. Hi Elmer, Have you looked to see if there might be an obituary on your ancestors. Death records in Ohio started in 1867, but it was hit and miss being recorded and seldom were the parents given if the deceased person was an adult. Better records were kept after the turn of the century along with naming the parents in the death record, so an obituary may be a better source. Being a "pioneer" back then, some of those obituaries can be quite lengthy and very informative. Happy Hunting, Judi in Indiana

Trying to contact my Aunt in Ironton to see if sher can pick up any info about his birth.
