Does anyone know at which time did divorce records become something that was kept and recorded? Also, I know that according to some of my sources, At one time you had to be 21 to marry in the state of Ohio, therefore many went to Greenup, KY. Is this true for all marriages around 1917? Or could a couple get married with parents consent in Ohio before age 21? My grandparents were married in August of 1917 according to both of their obits, but we have been unable to locate any record of their marriage.
