I received a document with my grandparents signatures on it. Seems to me I got it in office where marriage records were kept. But that has been a few years ago. My Dad was a railroader, so I do not think he had to have a Social Security number when they first come out. My aunt need a SS No. to go to work during the war, so she needed a birth certificate. They were born in Jackson Co in 1902 and 1905. I have no idea if all the late records were where they were.
