    3. Hi Helen, Thank you for the information. I believe the Slavens are my bunch as some of them were in Lawrence Co.,some in Pike County and my ancestor and her husband moved to Jackson Co. after they were married. They are descended from John Slavens of County Tyrone, Ireland who emigrated to America -Va.- and he fought in the Rev. War. I am sorry to say that my Evans,Johnson information is just that my great grandparents David J.Evans of Wales and Elizabeth Johnson married on July 5, 1880 and lived at Glen Roy when my grandmother was born in 1885. I do remember all of David's wives names and the names of their children and I vaguely remember my grandmother Nora Evans Walton telling me once that her mother Elizabeth Johnson's mothers maiden name was Rittenhouse. I am afraid that is all I know on this line and I have searched for years. It is very depressing. Thank goodness I have had more success on my other lines. I did not know there was a Slavens cemetary in Pike county and I would like to go there. Do you know where it is located?
