Finding Mrs. Potts and Mrs. McClure in the 1900 and/or 1910 census would possibly answer the question. Questions "Mother of how many children?/How many children living?" are asked on both. A Caleb McClure is found in his father's home in the online 1880 census. Even a search of one of the subscription sites gave me this much information before asking me to subscribe.
