    3. Peggy: I don't think my Shepards are releated. The best I can tell mine came from southwestern Virginia through Owsley & Perry Co., KY and arrived in the Jackson Co., OH area between 1850 - 1860. My 3d g grandfather, Elias "Eli" Shepard (with various spellings) and many of his children made the move. Eli's line migrated from the eastern shore area of NC to VA. You may still be able to tie in if you have your line back in the NC/VA area. Ron
