Ron, Are we discussing Belle Stropes Poore? 1862-1896? If so I am definitely interested. If not, please refresh my memory. As I get older, I carry on about 10-12 e-mail discussions at the same time and sometimes delete my mail too soon. But yes, I am interested in the above. She was buried in Winchester Cemetery. Did she have any children? Marilyn, Thanks for William clarification. BTW Merinda aka "Minnie" Westfall was the d/o Olive SCURLOCK (which is my interesta)1842-1919 married Henry Wesley Westfall 1843-1908. They are buried just down from Beaver Union Cemetery in Beaver Chapel. Also, Watson & Merinda's daughter Lula Evelyn Gilliland b. 8/4/1893 d. 6/28/1946 married a Philip King "P. K." Keppler m. 12/22/1911 ( not proven yet) and he died 10/28/1964. Both are buried at Beaver Union. It is Lula's daughter that I have been trying to find the descendents. Lula's daughter Minnie Elizabeth Keppler Married a Samuel Boyd in 1939. She moved to Florida but did LOTS of research on the SCURLOCK's. Minnie died in 1994 in Ft Lauderdale, FL but I have not information beyond that...no obit or cemetery or children. Since Minnie Elizabeth Keppler Boyd did lots of research on the Scurlock's I surely would like to find her descendents if you run across any leads. Thanks for info. This is not a formal look-up request but, if anyone happens to be at the courthouse looking through will/estate records for 1904-5 and happens to come across the estate records for John W. BRADY, please let me know. My John W. BRADY appears on the 1880 census in what I think was Coalton, with his wife, Jane/Jennie, daughter Urilla A., and son William E. William died in July 1880 and is buried in Coalton Cemetery. John was the postmaster of Coalton twice. Daughter Urilla was married in Jackson County to Oliver GROVE, as per marriage record I found, (as opposed to the folks at the courthouse that stated there was no record) in 1892. John and Jane are living in Jackson City in 1900, as per the census. By 1905 Jane is listed as widow of John, in the Dayton City Directory, living w/dau and SIL. There is no listing of head stones at any of the Jackson Cemeteries, however, there could have been money issues that forced Jane to not place one. Wouldn't be the first time this family did that. So, if you happen to run across this record, please email me! This is my brick wall. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help you can give. And best of luck in your own searches. Lisa [email protected]

> She leaves one daughter, Mrs. McClure, 7 grandchildren, 11 great > grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. The word "leaves" indicates survivors of the deceased. If so, other children could have preceded her in death. I agree Mrs. McClure also could be the mother of 7 children. Finding Mrs. Potts and Mrs. McClure in the 1900 and/or 1910 census would possibly answer the question. Questions "Mother of how many children?/How many children living?" are asked on both. A Caleb McClure is found in his father's home in the online 1880 census. Even a search of one of the subscription sites gave me this much information before asking me to subscribe. I have a will of an ancestor which was made out in 1842 in Washington County, Pennsylvania. Name of the man was James Foster. In his will he refers to owning about 80 acres of land in Jackson Co., Ohio at the time he wrote his will. How can I go about finding what land he owned there at that time and what are my chances that I could find anything in writing about the land........which hopefully would help me find out more about this ancestor?
