In my lust for finding out all the information on my Dad's family, I have recently been looking for the following people; Sarah E. Detty(Dettey), born about 1842, and Josephine Detty born 9 (10) Sept 1882. Until recently, these 2 have become great stumbling blocks. I have been going through various websites and have found the following information: 1) Sarah E. Detty can be found in the 1850 census age 7 for Sciota Township, Jackson Co., OH with parents David Detty age 33 and Elizabeth Ratcliff Detty (Dettey) age 31 along with other siblings. David and Elizabeth were also married in Ross Co., 21 Feb, 1837. She married Phillip Cooker 30 June 1859 in Ross County, OH. On the website for County Death records 1900-1908, she is listed as dying 17 Jan 1902 age 60y8m12d in Milton Twp. 2)Josephine Detty was born 9 (10) Sept 1882 in Harrison, Vinton Co., Oh to John Detty and Matilda Spencer Detty (they were married 1 July 1879 in Vinton Co.) Matilda and John Detty are found with David Detty and Isabelle Detty in Harrison, Vinton Co., OH. Josephine married Phillip Cooker in 1902. Josephine is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery in Ross Co. My questions are; can anyone connect any of these people with someone in their family? and Where is Sarah Detty Cooker and the other Dettys buried? Any help is greatly appreciated! I'll be posting this on several mailings lists so please excuse any duplications for those of us who get them! "Death is but crossing the world, as friends do the seas. Jacob KEPLER living below Rosannah LIVENGOOD (mother of Hannah), it is my believe that this Humphrey's KEPLER is the father of our Jacob KEPLER and also belive this Jacob LIVENGOOD found in 1830 to be husband of Rosanah and father to Hannah LIVENGOOD. We do know and have documentation that Hannah & Jacob were married in Muskingum County, OH on December 21, 1839, but we find them in Jackson County Ohio by 1850 and believe that 2 or 3 of their children were born in Jackson County Ohio. PA Needing help in finding information on Rosanah who is Hannah's mother (per death certificate-Hannah). We believe that Rosanah possibly died in Jackson County Ohio as we cannot find any other information on Rosanah after this census. We also at this time do not have any conclusive information on who Rosanah's husband, mother, father, or siblings are this is one of our brick walls. Jacob & Hannah after Jackson County Ohio relocated to Ross County Ohio, and from there to Vinton Co Ohio then on to Indiana, and Michigan where Hannah died in Wexford County. Jacob died during the Civil War and is buried in The Mississipi River National Cemetery in Tennessee. We do have his pension. We are also interested in finding information about a Daniel LIVENGOOD found in the pension plan as being with Hannah when she applied for the pension. Any information on these KEPLER's/LIVENGOODs would be much appreciated. Willing to share information on this family and associated surnames.
