Jacob W. Miller (1855- aft 1920) was a photographer in downtown Jackson at the very least for the timeframe 1900 thru 1920. I have several family photos that were taken by him during this period with his signature "J.W. Miller" on the front. In the 1920 census, he and his wife Margaret were living on Church St in Jackson and he was still a "photographer" who "owned his own studio" at age 64. I am interested in John R. Evans and his wife Elinor (Eleanor) Williams and his family. He immigranted to this country in 1838 according to current information. Peggy: I don't think my Shepards are releated. The best I can tell mine came from southwestern Virginia through Owsley & Perry Co., KY and arrived in the Jackson Co., OH area between 1850 - 1860. My 3d g grandfather, Elias "Eli" Shepard (with various spellings) and many of his children made the move. Eli's line migrated from the eastern shore area of NC to VA. You may still be able to tie in if you have your line back in the NC/VA area. Ron

I don't know who her first husband was. She married Fremont supposeably 12/22/1892 but I haven't verified that. Maybe she remarried after her your JOLLY person?????? She was 34 when she died.
