Does anyone know if inhabitants of this cemetery are transcribed somewhere? We were there a few years ago and found graves ( not stones ) of some of our BROWN ancestors but at present I cannot find that information that we copied down........somewhere in my files. Andrew Burns, buried at Hamden Cemetery, Vinton Co., OH. Thank you so much Carolyn Elliott Kelly Terre Haute, IN
There is nothing on the website at this time regarding the courthouse records and the CD project, however, I've contacted the newspaper and hopefully they'll place this info online. If they do that, I'll supply a link so that everyone interested can keep up with the situation. The article mentions that this is in a test phase and a final decision has not been made just yet. More later.... Karen PS. I just wanted to put out word (this is not genealogy related) that a local Wellston girl will represent Wellston and Ohio in this week's Miss USA pageant. This will be aired at 9 p.m. (locally) on NBC on Monday, Apr. 12. You may vote for Lauren Kelsey Hall to win Miss Photogenic at nbc.com. Let's all spread the word and watch as Wellston, our little corner of the world, gets represented. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 08, 2004 1:11 PM Subject: Re: [OHJACKSO-L] Next meeting of the JCOGS? > In a message dated 3/30/2004 2:19:13 PM Mountain Daylight Time, > [email protected] writes: > > > > > Does anyone know when or if there is a "next" meeting scheduled for the > > Jackson county genealogical society? In today's Wellston Telegram there is some talk of records being turned into CD format. I'll see if I can find anything online and post more info regarding this, from what I can understand, it's in the test/tryout phases.
