His name was Henry Lightfoot and he lived along the Monogahela in Pennsylvania at the time. He did not put down the year that he received it, however. I received the book on my 50th birthday which is usually the custom in our family. And I don't know if he married a Penn but if he didn't, he most definitely knew them well. The book was owned by my double gggg-grandfather, Shadrach Penn, following Mr. Lightfoot's ownership of it. The book by design was for the descendants of William Penn only, which is why he wrote it in the first place. I do believe that Mr. Lightfoot was married to a Miss Penn or was in some way closely related. I just haven't checked him out. The Penns are well known for having been Quakers and they did not indulge in anti-Indian behaviors that were the norm at that time. They often married Native Americans.
