He was from England and married a woman from Pennsylvania (or possibly Virginia). They had a daughter named Clarinda Lucas somewhere around 1838-1945 in Hubert County, Ohio. Clarinda married Harrison Withers and then when he died she married someone with the surname Cantwell. Her death certificate lists her father as John Lucas from England and her mother as unknown. Clarinda died in Missouri. I have looked all over for census records of John Lucas but cannot find a John Lucas with a wife from PA and daughter named Clarinda.
