Yep, you're in the right place. And you are right, nowadays, you can't tell by looking. Factually, a person couldn't tell by looking if it were 500 years ago, if you believe everything that the movies show us. Christopher Columbus himself wrote of the beauty of the Native American women and did remark that many had yellow, red and brown hair, besides the common black hair, even blue and green eyes. The name Luster and Lyester sounds more Native to me, while the other sounds more German. But, it wasn't uncommon for Native families to take on foreign-born names in an attempt at blending in, so to speak. I don't have anything on these families myself, but you might want to try searching for them on the Message Boards here :) Good Luck!
