Wood, his father was Warren S. Wood bp Cleveland and his mother's maiden name was L. A. BROOKS bp Montville, OH. He was buried 5 Nov 1931 in Hartsgrove, OH. The informant was William C. Wood. Her obit was published Jan. 30th in "The Blade", Toledo, OH: > Irene Tongring, age 83, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2004, at Lake Park. Born August 6, 1920, in Hartsgrove, Ohio, to Clifton and Agnes Wood. She grew up in East Cleveland and graduated from Shaw High School and was a graduate of Ohio University where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She married Jack Tongring, February 22, 1946. Irene was a medical technologist at The Toledo Hospital until her retirement in 1980. Irene was a member of Collingwood Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and was active on several committees. Surviving are her loving husband, Jack; son, James (Laura) Tongring of Chandler, Arizona; daughter, Jane Welch of Rossford, Ohio; four grandchildren, Julie Welch and Michael Welch of Toledo, Jennifer (Tyler) Flake, and John Tongring of Gilbert, Arizona; brother, Wilfred (Marion) Wood; three great-granchildren; sister-in-law, Harriet Frick; nieces, nephews, also survive. Friends may call at the Boyer-VanWormer-Scott Funeral Home, 5055 Secor Rd. North of Laskey Rd., Friday from 3-8 p.m. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 31 at 11 a.m. at Collingwood Presbyterian Church.
