They live there until 1832-33 when they migrated to Cass County, MI. 8 of their 9 children moved with them; children married in MI. Stephenson is sometimes spelled Stevenson. Where did people who settled in Logan Co. generally come from? Another county in OH? John Stephenson likely originated from PA (alternate state is NC), but don't know where. Any info. about their time in Logan County (did John & Jane get married there -- she would have been 18 in 1808), or where John Stephenson is originally from would be helpful. Childrens' names: John (married Melissa Reames), Harry (married Matilda Reames), William (married Rebecca McIlvain), Samuel, Isaac (married Nancy Marmon), Ira (married Esther Cann), Eri (married Mary Cogit), and Celia (married Isaac Williams). Daughter Rebecca apparently stayed in Logan Co., OH -- unknown if married. Also, mother Jane's maiden name was Hatfield, and her parents, Steward/Stewart and Rebecca Hatfield are also living in Logan Co., OH by 1820, having moved from VA.
