If he was born in Pennsylvania, he may descend from George and Jane Chandler. People generally migrated straight west, so it is likely that your John descended from a Northern Chandler family. If not from George and Jane, then possibly from another early arriving Northern Chandler family. You can read about them on our website, www.edmundchandler.com. Click on DNA test results on the left hand side of the home page. Male surnamed Chandlers are eligible for the DNA test. It is a simple, painless, swab to the inside cheek and drop into a mailer kind of test. You may be able to find out which Chandler family that you belong to.
