    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: luvzsun Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.unknown/13078.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: 1870 census, Perry, Lake, OH, all surnames are NASH: David S. 40 NY laborer, Mary A. 34 OH, Harriet E. 20 OH, James H. 16 OH laborer, Mary E. 13 OH, David 1 OH, Harvey S. 20 OH. It is unlikely that Harriet and Harvey were Mary's children. Harvey being listed last suggests that he was not David's son but more likely a nephew. There is a Harriet and Harvey Nash in the 1860 Chagrin Falls, Cuyahoga, OH census but their ages then don't match with those in 1870. James Harvey Nash's death cert shows that he was b 11 Dec 1854 in Perry, OH, d 30 Dec 1929 in Port Clinton, Ottawa, OH. His father was David and his mother's maiden name was Mary PRICE who was/wasn't the Mary A. in the 1870 census. The 1900 Kalamazoo MI census shows that Harvey S. Nash was 50, a match for the Harvey in the 1870 census. The only advantage of getting a copy of James' obit would be if Harriet survived him. It or her death cert may reveal her parents' names. The PC library's website is http://www.idarupp.org/. I am not related. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
