My mother, Bernice Ione Roop, was first cousin to Edna and her sisters: Kathryn, Verdell, and Leona. They lived across the street from each other sometime between 1910 and 1920. Edna's mother was Mary Louise Roop Watkins, sister to my grandfather Bernis Ivan Roop. All photos of my grandmother Violet Emma Hofer Roop (who died in 1918) were burned by a stepmother; and only one photo of my mother exists from that time. I'm hopeful that Edna's descendants may have, among their family photos, some of my grandmother & mother from that time. Here's hoping! Thank you.
