It has long been a mystery who the father was of her daughter, Margaret (1903-1986). The family never really talked about it, but my grandpa has said that once he heard from either his mom or grandma that Margaret's last name was Unger. I was recently found a census record listed through Margaret's stepfather, George H. Plumley (1886-1964), that stated her last name was Stevens. Later on her life Margaret married Dr. Floyd R. Garl (1879-1955) . Like I mentioned earlier, the family never talked about Margaret's real father. I'm not sure what she went by before she married Floyd, but I would really like to know about more about this mystery! If you're in anyway related to a Stevens/Unger line and you think you might have some info, please let me know! I know it'll be hard to find, and pinpoint, but I'd really like to see if we can get to the bottom of this! Oh, and on the census it stated that both of Margaret's parents were born in Ohio, but I'm not sure where exactly.
