I believe there was a link or an email address for a Lett family or Lett settlement researcher. I did not see any mention of your Charles in anything I read, but it looks like there were some lines that lost contact with the settlement people over the years. I think it is likely that your family is connected. Let me know if you need help finding these links. I assumed you had already pursued them and came up empty, so I did not save them, but I can probably find them again if you need them.
