Anna was born on 6/8/1865 in Ardersier, Inverness-shire, Scotland & she married Jack/John Wood but don't know where or when & I have no details of Jack. Jessie was born 11/10/1886 also in Ardersier (the oldest & youngest in that family). She married Alexander Hunter in York, Ontario on 23/9/1910. Alexander was born abt 1888 (age 22 in marriage cert) in Scotland but don't know where. Anna & Jessie's parents were Alexander Johnstone & Jessie MacKay from Ardersier. I have only started to research my American side so would appreciate it if you could let me know where I should be looking for births, deaths, etc. Regards, Don Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. But I also thought that this William Heill might be his wife's brother. Your idea could be right also. I have tried looking for William Heill in the other census and I couldn't find him. It was hard to read his name. I did check the 1920 census and Alban wasn't listed just Isabel. She was in Suffork County, Boston City, Masschusetts. Listed as widowed and as a wash woman. So I am thinking somewhere between 1910 and 1920 your Alban died. Maybe you could post a message in Suffork ,Mass and see if you could have someone possibly look and see if there is an obituary for him. 1910 was the only census I could find Alban in. Wish I could help you further..... I can get all the census you mentioned except 1890 If there is someone else you want me to look up just let me know... William Heill. Alban had a sister named Ann or Annie or Anna. She was born abt. 1853. If this is Annie's husband then that means she followed her brother to Ohio. Is there a way to get the 1880, 1890, 1900, 1910 US Census on line for free?? Cheers The Happy Hunter Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am sure that that is the Alban I am looking for. The 1910 census would put this Alban born in 1852. My Alban was born in 1852 in Nova Scotia, Canada. I cannot thank you enough for finding him for me. I have been searching for almost 3 years and I even checked the SSN to no avail. Your search has uncovered another puzzle in my quest to find all of my family. My gut tells me that this is my Alban...... Cheers The Happy Hunter. Jil, Original copies of deeds for purchase & sale of property can be obtained at the county recorders office. They usually run about $1 per page for a copy of the original record. The land books are large and the clerk usually will offer to reduce the size to a normal, more manageable size for no extra fee. Here is a good site for this in Clermont County: _http://recorder.clermontcountyohio.gov/About.aspx_ (http://recorder.clermontcountyohio.gov/About.aspx) Cheryl Shaw **************A strong credit score is 700 or above.
