I'm guessing at time lines but give or take a few years they were maybe born 1912. Also guessing about marriage date around 1940-1950. I hope someone can help me with parents of them especially on Buck Henderson. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [OHIO] Jennings and Way in Ohio
    2. Leigh
    3. I am still trying to track down the parents of Mary A Jennings born abt 1836 in Ohio. I'm not sure of the county..I have either Fredonia, Licking Co or Columbia Co. She married first Abisha Benjamin Way born 4-12-1832 in Centre, PA. They either divorced or he died after 1874. He was indicted by the grand jury for forgery in Stark Co OH in 1874 and his "whereabouts" were listed as unknown. Mary A remarried before 1870 to a distant relative Eli F(uller) Jennings who was born in Massachusetts in 1822. He had been married before as well and had children. I believe his first wife was a Lucida Britton. Children were Lafayette b Dec 1844, Rachel b 1845, Eli Penny b April 1848, John B b 1852 and Frank b 1855. In 1868 Eli F Jennings is listed as a representative for Lawrence Co AL and I have him and Mary A living in Lawrence Co AL with the two youngest sons in 1870 Lafayette and Eli P are living and working in Morgan Co AL. 5-23-1889 Athens OH Eli F JENNINGS of Moulton AL f/o C E M was a guest of this family. C E M Jennings was the editor of the Republican Messanger in Athens Ohio. (Charles E M Jennings--Father was David. He was born in 1837 in PA.) Mary A's children from the marriage to Abisha are also living in Lawrence Co AL by 1870....Percy and Harry Cliff Way. Percy was born in 1869 and Harry was born August 1874. Since the dates don't line up correctly, I'm now wondering if Percy and Cliff were actually Jennings' and for some reason took the Way name. Percy is listed in the 1880 Morgan Co AL in the household with Eli P and Frank. He is listed as a step son, but that should have been step brother. Lafayette ends up in Portland Oregon. Eli P stayed in Decatur Morgan co Al until around 1920. He is listed in the Baldwin Co AL census as a 71 year old widow in Foley..he's listed in the 1930 census for Sarasota, FL census as 81 and widowed. I've not been able to find out any information on Rachel, John B and Frank. Any help on Mary would be greatly appreciated Thanks Leigh Brown

They moved to Indiana and had a family. I haven't been able to find any info on his father. I have a family tree hand drawn by my grt grandfather that says John's father is William Bok of Germany and his mother has the maiden name of Smith, born in Ireland. Author: mdwinters67 Surnames: Jacob Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.unknown/13186/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Greetings! I am writing to all of you in a desperate attempt to help me not lose my mind! My great, great grandparents were married in 1880 or 1881 but their record does not show up in the county where they lived and raised their family. I don't know if they eloped or what but I am frustrated that the record is not there. They lived in Lucas County, Ohio, and I was hoping that some of you in any of the neighboring counties that have access to marriage indexes might see if you can find their marriage. I would appreciate any and all assistance you can give me! Here is their information: Orieleye (or Orle) Jacob- born 1852 in Michigan Elizabeth Laplante- born 1862 in Quebec, Canada They are in the 1880 census of Toledo and their first child was born in 1881 in Toledo. They later moved to South Dakota and then Michigan before settling down again in Toledo, where they both died. I have checked the online resources that I have access to and have not found them anywhere. I believe I checked the Monroe County Michigan Marriage records also (I think) to no avail. Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions and take care! Mike Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
