    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Suelumb321 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.unknown/13197.4.1.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Many people were not covered by SSI in the early days- railroad workers had their own system, as do some government and state and local employees as well as some self-employed individuals. (My own father was self-employed and did not pay into SSI until late in his career- late 50's or the 60's). Thus, if any of these applied to her husband, and if she was not employed, as most married women were not prior to the 60's she would not have received SSI. Its fast and easy and works every time. This 3 line url becomes: http://tinyurl.com/mxt4by Richard G.
