Author: cmpless_1 Surnames: STUDENKA, KURIVIAL, JURASEK, IVAN Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.unknown/5337.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Lynda and Kristen, I just found on the Ellis Island website: Jan and Anna (JURASEK) KURIVIAL came to the US 11 Aug 1922 to join Steve STUDENKO[sic], Jan's uncle, of Holgate, Henry Co., OH. They were both born in Znorovy (now Vnorovy), and listed their nearest relative in Znorovy as Frantiska JURASKOVA, mother-in-law (Anna's mother). I don't know for sure Jan's parents' names yet, but Apolonia was obviously his father's sister. Jan died in 1964; Anna in 1994. George and Apolonia's parents may have been Bartolomej and Marie (IVAN) KURIVIAL. The surname IVAN also has a relationship with my family--just not sure how yet. Also, I have started posting all the STUDENKA and related information I have to the STUDENKA board on this site; please post any additional STUDENKA-related materials you have or find; perhaps we can figure all of this out together! Take care, --Catherine Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: lsmith1974 Surnames: Rowlee / Rowley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.unknown/13242/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for information regarding my dad, Karl L. Rowlee born Nov. 20, 1917 to Karl Clayton Rowlee (son of James Casper Rowlee & Estelle Durgee) and Florence Vera Morrison Rowlee. I have found some information but not all of the pieces are fitting together. The only census I find my dad in is the 1930 census where it shows him as a step-son of Loren William Boswell. His brothers were Seth "James" Rowlee, Ralph, Floyd Edgar Rowlee, Jim Rowlee, Milton Paul Rowlee, Clifford Rowlee and his sister Annabelle Rowlee Steele married. I was a year and a half old when my dad passed away. I only have a few photo's of the Rowlee family sent to me when I was a little girl, (I am now 35) by Uncle Milt and Aunt Dorothy. I just recently found out that we may have a half sister - Karleen. I am working on a family tree for my children and would greatly appreciate any help in gathering information about my dad's side of the family. Any other information or photo's you are willing to share for this line of Rowlee's is greatly appreciated. I have attached some photo's for reference. My e-mail address is L.Smith1974@yahoo.com Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated in advance. Thanking you kindly, Lisa Rowlee Smith Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
